Kate Marples

Kate’s practice focuses on the areas of trust and estate planning, personal and corporate tax planning, corporate reorganizations and charitable gift planning.  She routinely assists clients with estate freezes and family trusts, and a broad range of other estate planning trust matters.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from UBC in 2001, Kate received her law degree with honors from the University of Ottawa in 2004.  She was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 2005 and has practiced in Vancouver in the areas of tax and estate planning since then.

Kate is an adjunct professor at UBC’s Peter A. Allard School of Law where she teaches “Taxation of Trusts and Estates” to upper year JD and LLM students.
