Legal Administrative Assistant

Legacy Tax + Trust Lawyers is a boutique law firm in downtown Vancouver, specializing in estate administration, trust and estate planning, tax planning, and estate/tax litigation. Our lawyers are leaders in their fields of tax (domestic and international), estate and trust planning and administration, and related litigation.

Legacy Tax + Trust Lawyers seeks a motivated and competent junior Legal Administrative Assistant to work in our busy tax litigation department.

Responsibilities:

  • fielding a high volume of client requests via email and telephone throughout the day
  • maintaining daily BF’s
  • filing documents at the tax courts
  • filing and maintaining files
  • opening and closing files
  • scheduling appointments
  • handling incoming and outgoing mail
  • entering time
  • preparing monthly bills
  • preparing deposit and cheque requests
  • other related tasks as required

Qualifications and Experience:

  • a recent graduate from a recognized LAA program, up to two years of experience
  • previous office experience an asset
  • advanced computer skills, including a good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • great attention to detail
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • professional at all times
  • motivated and enthusiastic
  • organized
  • able to prioritize
