Message from the Principals
In these unusual times, the principals of Legacy Tax + Trust Lawyers are developing effective ways to ensure that every aspect of our operations can continue, while at the same time ensuring that the health and safety of our people, our clients and the greater community are safeguarded. We are carefully monitoring the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on a daily basis, and are closely adhering to the guidelines and preventative measures being recommended by the various provincial, federal and international organizations. To that end we are implementing measures and taking steps for the well-being of all while ensuring both business continuity and our excellent service levels.
Our office remains open for business at this time. For the safety and health of our clients and our employees, we have placed significant restrictions on face- to- face meetings with both clients and firm colleagues. For those urgent meetings which must occur in person, we will be adhering to strict protocols to ensure the safety of all is protected. We have also temporarily suspended all hospital, care home, and in-home visits and asked our employees to postpone all business and personal travel. Finally, we are ensuring that all employees adhere to the self-quarantine requirements set out by the federal government.
Our Human Resources Committee is working closely with the firm’s principals and is monitoring developments on a daily basis. We would like to assure our clients that these steps have a single purpose – to protect our clients, our people and our community. We are committed to ensuring that we do our best to limit the spread of this pandemic during this unprecedented time. With our firm’s IT infrastructure, we are encouraging our employees to work from home as appropriate, and should our office temporarily close, our employees will be able to continue to work from home.
We thank you in advance for adhering to our policies and for your understanding and patience as we all work through this together.
Our thoughts are with those who have been seriously impacted by COVID-19 and we are deeply grateful to the public health care organizations and the health care workers on the front line.
